beanie & butarro

their story

the way to somewhere

beanie had a map. butarro heard running water. neither knew exactly where they were going.

beat one

Beanie was trying to find her way home.

she had a map, two snacks, and complete confidence.

beat two

She set off, sure of the way.

the same yellow flower. the same stone. the same little sign.

beat three

Butarro was beside the path, listening.

he heard her uneven footsteps pass once. then again. then again.

beat four

Beanie was sure Butarro was the one who was lost.

she looked at her map. she turned it once. then twice.

beanie: Do you need help finding the way?

butarro: Which way are you going?

beanie: I am still deciding.

beat five

So they used what each of them had.

beanie could see a hill. butarro could hear running water.

beat six

What Beanie saw and what Butarro heard led to the same place.

beanie: Did we find the right way?

butarro: We found something.

beat seven

Then they started walking again.

this time, neither of them claimed to know exactly where they were going.
